An Odyssey within ADDIE
I had the privilege of conducting a workshop for 60 dedicated Learning and Development Focal Persons from different regions under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The focus of this workshop was the ADDIE process - a framework that serves as the foundation for designing effective learning solutions. My ultimate goal was to equip these professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in the crucial field of learning measurement and evaluation.
Our journey began with a deep dive into the ADDIE model which is widely recognized in instructional design and training. It's not just an acronym; it's a roadmap for creating impactful learning experiences. We explored the nuances of each stage, emphasizing the importance of a systematic approach.
Moving forward, we translated theory into practice. Through interactive sessions, participants engaged in hands-on activities that allowed them to apply the ADDIE process to real-world scenarios. This was a key moment where theoretical knowledge turned into practical skills.
Effective learning measurement and evaluation are essential for continuous improvement. In this segment, we dived deep into the art of measuring learning outcomes. We discussed various evaluation models and techniques, ensuring that our participants were well-equipped to assess the impact of their training programs.
