Effective Coaching Models (Part 2)

SAGER Model

The SAGER model stands for Sponsorship, Advocacy, Guidance, Empowerment, and Review. It is specifically designed for executive coaching, helping leaders achieve their goals and navigate complex challenges. Coaches act as sponsors, advocates, and guides, empowering executives to become influential and effective leaders.

ACHIEVE Model

The ACHIEVE model offers a comprehensive framework for coaches to support clients throughout their coaching journey. ACHIEVE stands for Assess the current situation, Create a coaching relationship, Help set goals, Initiate options and strategies, Evaluate progress, Validate success, and Encourage ongoing growth. This model ensures a well-structured and impactful coaching experience.

Solution-Focused Coaching Model

The Solution-Focused Coaching model emphasizes building on strengths and finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems. Coaches encourage clients to clarify their desired outcomes, explore exceptions and past successes, and generate practical strategies to achieve their goals. It focuses on positive change and action-oriented approaches.

Wheel of Life Model

The Wheel of Life is a popular coaching tool used to assess and balance various areas of an individual's life. Coaches help clients identify key life domains, such as career, health, relationships, and personal development. Clients rate their current satisfaction in each area, fostering self-awareness and highlighting areas for improvement and goal setting.

Appreciative Inquiry Model

The Appreciative Inquiry model is a strengths-based approach to coaching, fostering positive change and transformation. Coaches help clients explore their positive experiences, strengths, and values, envisioning a desirable future. The process involves discovering the best of what is, dreaming about what could be, designing the desired future, and delivering actions to bring about positive change.
