If we aspire to identify correct solutions and make better choices, we must learn how certain biases work and how to fight them. From the book "Decisive: How to Make Better Choices in Life and Work" by Chip and Dan Heath, here are the four most pernicious villains of decision making, which I think can also apply to problem solving.
